Maharashtra state Archeology Department has 128 number of posts vacant from total 300 posts. The large number of vacant positions affects to the government work in taking care for the various forts & monuments build in old century. It is duty to protect & to take care of all remaining forts as much as possible. For this there must be recruitment to fill the vacant positions from the department.

Due to this much number of vacant positions in the government department, the department is not able to work as per the requirement. The old forts must have to take care & to take the maintenance of the fort is necessary, therefore it is must necessary to fill up the vacancies. To get these the vacant position must have to be filled as early as possible.

From the vacant positions of 128 posts, there are positions from Group A, B, C & D category for 2, 14, 27 & 75 respectively as total of 128 posts. These various category positions work on there own group, therefore the work assign to these is not getting done due to lack of employment
