Savitribai Phule Pune University has started the admission process for admission to 2300 vacant seats of Ph.D. courses & 190 vacant seats of M.Phil courses. from 25th May 2019, candidates can fill the online applications form from Pune university website. Interested candidates can fill the online applications form from 25th may 2019 & closing date for online application is 15th June 2019.
For admission process entrance test will be conduct on 7th July 2019. In Ph.D & M.Phill Admission process, candidates who pass SET/ NET examination will directly eligible for Interview process. Those who have not pass SET/ NET examinations will have to pass university entrance admission process to qualify for the interview. University Grants Commission declares 5% relaxation on passing marks for Ph.D & M. Phil course to schedule category & schedule caste students. By this new decision to pass the entrance examinations required marks get deducted from 50% to 45%. Due to taking this decision students can benefits to admission to Ph.D. & M.Phil courses in PET examination.
Also UGC declared the 5% relaxation in marks to disable persons. So many times in admission process schedule category, schedule caste, other backward category & divyang students many of seats left vacant. Therefore to fill up these vacant seat after completing admission process within 1 month. An special admission process will be conduct for recruitment to the fill up the vacant seats, as per the announcement by the UGC. To fill up these vacancies of reserve category, for this UGC make this decision. These new rules will be applicable in the admission process.

Savitribai Phule Pune University announced that students have to fill the online applications forms for scholarship till 15th January 2019. Pune university provides Krantijyoti Savitrimata Phule Yojana, Financial Weak Students helping scheme, Rajashri Shahu Maharaj Scholarships, Merit Students scholarships. The details filled online should be accurate & after correctly checking the online details finally submit the application forms.
