यवतमाळ  येथील वसंतराव नाईक शासकीय वैद्यकीय महाविद्यालयातील एकूण मंजूर पदापैकी ६०० च्यावर पद रिक्त आहेत. याचा परिणाम होतो. यवतमाळ मेडिकलमध्ये आता एक हजार खाटांच्या रुग्णालयासाठी लागतील एवढ्या जागा येथे मंजूर करण्यात येतील, तसा प्रस्ताव शासनस्तरावर प्राप्त झाला असल्याचे वैद्यकीय शिक्षण व संशोधन संचालनालयाचे संचालक डॉ. दिलीप म्हैसेकर यांनी शुक्रवारी यवतमाळ मेडिकलच्या कॉलेज कौन्सिल बैठकीत सांगितले. यावेळी म्हैसेकर यांनी छोट्या-छोट्या चुकांमुळे आपले काम वाया जाणार नाही, समाजात प्रतिमा बिघडणार नाही, याची दक्षता घ्या, असेही निर्देश दिले.

शासकीय रुग्णालयात उपचारासाठी दाखल रुग्णांवर सर्वच डॉक्टर परिश्रम घेऊन उपचार करतात. मात्र, बऱ्याच वेळा रुग्णाच्या नातेवाइकाला अम्बू बॅग घेऊन बसविले जाते. स्ट्रेचर, व्हीलचेअर रुग्णांच्या नातेवाइकांना लोटत न्यावे लागते.
