Judge Vacancy in Maharashtra
Supreme Court Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi’s bench is exchanging views on the judges’ vacancies. Do you have to set up a National High Judicial Commission to fill judges’ seats in district and session courts? The bench is also considering this. However, some high courts have opposed it. At present, judges are appointed by the State Government on the recommendation of the High Court.
