Municipal Corporation of Mumbai will soon recruit 341 junior engineers and this process will be done online through a private company. About Rs 2 crore will be spent for this. The administration has expressed confidence that the work of the municipality will be accelerated as the vacant posts are filled.
Through this process, 243 posts of Junior Engineer (Architectural) posts and 98 posts of Engineering Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical) of the Municipality will be filled. The IBPS company will be conducting online exams for this recruitment. The company will work on accepting applications of interested candidates, scrutinizing applications, online examination of candidates, creating quality list of reservation. The eligibility criteria of the candidates will be determined only after submitting the category wise quality list of the eligible candidates according to the criteria of the municipality. The proposal for this recruitment process will be submitted to the Standing Committee for approval on Wednesday.

महापालिकेत लवकरच ३४१ कनिष्ठ इंजिनीअरांची भरती होणार असून ही प्रक्रिया खासगी कंपनीमार्फत ऑनलाइन पद्धतीने होणार आहे. त्यासाठी तब्बल दोन कोटी रुपये खर्च करण्यात येणार आहे. रिक्त पदे भरली गेल्याने पालिकेच्या कामाला आणखी गती येणार असल्याचा विश्वास प्रशासनाने व्यक्त केला आहे.
या प्रक्रियेद्वारे पालिका नगर अभियंता खात्याच्या अभियांत्रिकी वर्गातील कनिष्ठ अभियंता (स्थापत्य) २४३ पदे आणि कनिष्ठ अभियंता (यांत्रिकी/विद्युत) ९८ अशी एकूण ३४१ पदे भरली जाणार आहेत. या भरतीसाठी ‘आयबीपीएस’ कंपनीकडून ऑनलाइन परीक्षा घेतली जाणार आहे. ही कंपनी इच्छुक उमेदवारांचे अर्ज स्वीकारणे, अर्जांची छाननी, उमेदवारांची ऑनलाइन परीक्षा, आरक्षणनिहाय गुणवत्ता यादी तयार करणे अशी कामे करणार आहे. पालिकेच्या निकषांनुसार पात्र ठरलेल्या उमेदवारांची प्रवर्गनिहाय गुणवत्ता यादी सादर करून त्यानंतरच त्या उमेदवारांची पात्रता ठरविण्यात येणार आहे. या भरती प्रक्रियेचा प्रस्ताव आज, बुधवारी होणाऱ्या स्थायी समितीत मंजुरीसाठी मांडण्यात येणार आहे.
पालिकेच्या तिजोरीत अडीच कोटी
भरती प्रक्रिया राबवणाऱ्या संस्थेला प्रतिविद्यार्थी ३५० रुपये व इतर खर्च देण्यात येणार आहे. पालिका एका अर्जासाठी मागासवर्गीय उमेदवारांकडून प्रत्येकी ४०० रुपये तर खुल्या वर्गातील विद्यार्थ्यांकडून प्रत्येकी ६०० रुपये परीक्षा शुल्क घेणार आहे. त्यामुळे कंपनीचे दोन कोटीचे मानधन देऊन पालिकेच्या तिजोरीत अडीच कोटी रुपयांपर्यंत रक्कम जमा होणार आहे.

All these vacant posts will be filled from open and backward classes, and backward candidates will be charged Rs 400 and open category candidates Rs 600. The exam will be started within 15 days following the approval of the Standing Committee. The vacancies for the posts of Junior Engineer in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical (Department of Civil) in various departments of Mumbai Municipal Corporation will now be filled up with direct service recruitment.
After the advertisement was published on behalf of the municipality it was decided to recruit a total of 341 junior engineers. In order to implement the recruitment process of these 341 junior engineers, the municipality has implemented IBPS. This organization has been selected and the proposal has been sent for approval before the Standing Committee meeting for approval to implement the recruitment process. The Code of Conduct had barred further process after it was earlier advertised to fill the vacancies of 243 junior engineers. Therefore, the administration has decided to fill 341 junior engineers with some more vacancies.
