The State Government has informed the Nagpur Division of Bombay High Court that the process of filling up the vacant posts of Maharashtra Livestock Development Board (Pashudhan Vikas Vibhag) for the development of farmers and livestock has been started. Social worker Vivek Tale has filed a PIL in the Bombay Bench of the Bombay High Court, as 10 posts out of 19 from the Maharashtra Livestock Development Board are established for the development of farmers and livestock. On Wednesday, the court ordered the secretary of the Animal Husbandry Department, the Chief Executive Officer and the Commissioner of Animal Husbandry to order the reply within three weeks.
The petition was heard in the presence of Justice Bhushan Gavai and Murlidhar Giratkar. Each of the posts of Assistant Commissioner (Animal Husbandry), Assistant Assistant, Statutory Investigator, Senior Assistant, Junior Clerk and Driver, and two senior posts of senior clerks and staff are vacant.
