As many as 30,436 applications were received for the examination conducted for the recruitment of 156 talathi posts in Satara district, while more than 25,000 people actually appeared for the exam. The exam was conducted in three sessions at seven examination centres in Satara district. This was the first time that the talathi recruitment exam was conducted online by TCS.
Six months after the exam, the normalized marks of the exam were published on January 6, 2024, and the final selection list was prepared and the revised list was published again in March. A list of 155 people from Satara district has been given by the Jambandi Commissioner. However, they are yet to be appointed and verification of documents as per the reservation of these candidates is going on in the government office.

• याबाबत अधिक माहिती अशी, सातारा जिल्ह्यात एकूण १५६ तलाठी पदांच्या भरतीसाठी घेण्यात आलेल्या परीक्षेसाठी तब्बल ३० हजार ४३६ अर्ज प्राप्त झाले तर प्रत्यक्षात २५ हजारहून अधिक जणांनी परीक्षा दिली होती. त्यावेळी महत्वाच्या अशा या परीक्षेत सातारा जिल्ह्यातील 7 परीक्षा केंद्रांवर 3 सत्रांत ही परीक्षा घेण्यात आली. तयावेळी तलाठी भरतीची परीक्षा प्रथमच टीसीएसमार्फत ऑनलाइन पद्धतीने घेण्यात आली होती.
• या परीक्षेनंतर तब्बल सहा महिन्यांनी परीक्षेचे सामान्यकृत गुण ६ जानेवारी २०२४ रोजी प्रसिद्ध झाले आणि अंतिम निवड यादी तयार होऊन मार्च महिन्यात पुन्हा सुधारित यादी प्रसिद्ध करण्यात आली. सातारा जिल्ह्यातील १५५ जणांची यादी जमाबंदी आयुक्तांकडून देण्यात आली आहे. मात्र, त्यांची अद्याप नियुक्ती करण्यात आली नसून या उमेदवारांच्या आरक्षणानुसार कागदपत्रांची पडताळणी शासकीय कार्यालयात सुरू आहे.
