SSC Recruitment Progress 1 Lakh Position : About 7 lakh posts from various central government accounts have been reported till March 1, 2018. Out of total 6 lakh 83 thousand 823 posts, 5,74,289 posts are in category A, 89,638 posts are in category B and 19,896 positions are in A category.
In a written reply to a question, Minister of State for Manpower Jitendra Singh gave this information in the Rajya Sabha. Following the information of vacant posts from various accounts, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the process of filling 1 lakh 5 thousand 338 posts in the current financial year.

Jitendra Singh Said In 2017-18, 1,27,573 vacancies in Class C and Level-1 posts were reported by the Railway Ministry and Railway Recruitment Board. It also included posts that could be created in the next two years.
Computer based test is taken to make the recruitment process faster and easier. The Post Department has taken the test for 19,522 posts and started the recruitment process. This includes posts other than those that are being recruited by the SSC.
